Avatar 2 is an upcoming sequel of Avatar, released in 2009, a science fiction film directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios.
Cameron stated in 2006 that if Avatar was a success, he planned to develop two sequels. In 2010, he noted that the film’s overall success reaffirmed his decision. The sequels were supposed to come out in December 2014 and 2015. However, the trailer for Avatar 2 is out and will be out in cinemas on December 16, 2022.
